Quinn & Hary, a marketing and communications firm with an office in New London, has hired Dave Gellar as vice president of sales and marketing, and graphic designer Troy Hall. Gellar was one of the firm’s founding members when it started as Quinn & Gellar 20 years ago this month. He previously worked for The Day. Quinn & Hary is a Boston-based subsidiary of Regan Communications Group.

In celebration of National Veterans Small Business Week, the SBA Connecticut District Office, in partnership with the Eastern CT Veterans Community Center, will host a Veterans Small Business Fair, November 2. , from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will be held east of CT. Veterans Community Center, 1010 Main St., Willimantic.

The fair will connect aspiring/current service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military contractor spouses showcasing available resources, including breakout sessions led by experts in matter.

The New London Fire Department has partnered with State Farm and the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week™ campaign, “Fire Won’t Wait.
