Fujifilm enters high-end mirrorless market with Ultra and adds Acuity PrimeL


Part of the Acuity Ultra family of products, the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED launched at Fespa Berlin is a 3.3m printer that delivers high quality printing on both rigid and flexible substrates. Printing at speeds of up to 218 m²/hr (RTR) and offering a print resolution of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is unique in that it can combine ultra-high quality performance and competitive return on investment, for rigid and flexible applications, all on one platform.

Media management and functionality

In addition to media loading and unloading tables, the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED also features a dimpled table surface to support all media types while allowing for easy media positioning. A sturdy locking mechanism protects against accidental damage and a secure lock allows for precise media feeding.

The GUI shares the same design features as the Acuity Ultra R2 and includes additional features to manage rigid media production – up to six sheets simultaneously.

An intelligent vacuum control system automatically activates the correct vacuum areas needed for any print job based on media width, and vacuum motor power continuously adjusts to maintain optimal media hold. media, regardless of media type and size, ensuring precision and a high quality print finish.

Uvijet UH: a new UV LED inkjet ink from Fujifilm

Fujifilm has created an all-new range of inks, Uvijet UH, specifically for the new machine, with six colors (CMYK, Lm, Lc) available as standard and white ink also available as an option. The new ink is Greenguard Gold and AgBB certified.

Uvijet UH has been designed to adhere to a wide range of rigid and flexible substrates, while matching the high quality of Uvijet GS and AU inks used in the Acuity Ultra R2. Both the machine and the ink were designed by Fujifilm and they work together to maximize quality while minimizing ink usage, reducing running costs and increasing return on investment.

Fujifilm Acuity Prime LFESPA was also the launch platform for Fujifilm’s Acuity Prime L, the latest addition to its Acuity Prime series of flatbed printers, offers a maximum print area of ​​3200mm x 2000mm and speeds of printing up to 202 m2/h.

A new disposable primer improves adhesion for difficult substrates, eliminating the need to pre-treat substrates offline before printing.

Available with up to seven ink channels (CMYK, whiter, clear and primer), the Acuity Prime L with Uvijet HM delivers “the ultimate versatility and value by giving print businesses the flexibility to customize to suit their own needs”.
