Microsoft announced the acquisition of Minit, a leader in process mining technology, for an undisclosed amount.
Minit, based in Slovakia, enables companies to discover opportunities for continuous process improvement and greater operational efficiency.
Microsoft said the acquisition will further help its customers digitally transform and drive operational excellence by creating a complete picture of their business processes, allowing each process to be easily and automatically analyzed and improved.
“Clients will be able to better understand their process data, see what real-world operations look like, and drive process standardization and improvement across the organization to ensure compliance at every stage,” said Justin. Graham, general manager of process insights at Microsoft.
Transparent operations and the proper functioning of every component of every business process is essential, but most leaders are unable to understand the actual performance of their processes and end up making decisions based on subjective information.
Minit is currently enabling companies to transform the way they analyze, monitor and optimize their processes.
“We are on a mission to help companies uncover opportunities for continuous process improvement and improved operational efficiency. From now on, this mission will be amplified on a much larger scale,” said James Dening, CEO of Minit.
Microsoft recently acquired Softomotive, an RPA software provider, and together with Minit, it’s doubling down on a software category that could reach $11 billion by 2030, according to Polaris Market Research.
