THE SM Store recently launched its SM Green Finds initiative to promote clean beauty and technology, sustainable fashion and eco-friendly household tools to its customers.
Thanks to the Green Finds badge, customers can now easily find eco-friendly and sustainable products. Alongside SM retail affiliate brands, SM Green Finds offers products made with natural ingredients that are crafted with ingenuity, promote local artisans and support community livelihoods.
“We are dedicated to understanding what our customers want, anticipating their needs and finding ways to bring products to their satisfaction. By making it easier to find greener options and making them more affordable, we can easily transition to green living,” SM Retail Inc. said President Ponciano Manalo Jr.
According to the United Nations Environment Programme, living sustainably requires understanding the impact of lifestyle choices on the world. Thanks to the SM Green Finds initiative, it is easier for customers to choose products that take into account the well-being of communities and the planet every day.
“We find ourselves with a very unique opportunity – to lead our customers and supplier partners towards a greener shopping experience – one that prioritizes the well-being of our communities and our common home, our planet,” Manalo added.
Customers can now visit the flagship SM Green Finds pop-up at the SM Store in the SM Mall of Asia, which will be replicated in other SM Stores across the country.
The SM Green Finds is one of many initiatives of the SM Green Movement – a collective effort by SM, together with its partners, customers and communities to champion and promote a green lifestyle, a green culture and a green planet.
SM works with thousands of supplier partners for locally and sustainably made products, and has engaged its customers and communities to help keep the environment clean through its programs such as Trash to Cash and Coastal Cleanups. . It has contributed to the protection of natural environments by rehabilitating hectares of mangroves and working to declare marine protected areas.
Through the SM Green Movement, SM takes its commitment a step further by creating practical solutions to make green living easier for everyone it serves.
From installing solar panels with a capacity of 10.6 megawatts to recycling an average of 8.7 million cubic meters of water in 2021; building shopping malls with water catchments to innovative designs such as building SM Marikina on stilts for climate resilience; SM has created green spaces for the enjoyment of Filipinos.
With the SM Green Movement, the company expects more innovative green spaces to develop. The newest addition to the SM Group’s list of green spaces is SM Retail’s new headquarters in Pasay City.
